LED GU10 Bulbs
In this day and age there is a growing demand for LED bulbs in the home. This is mainly due to how energy efficient they are and cost effective. As people become more aware of what we are doing to the planet with burning fossil fuels and using up energy, we are becoming increasingly aware that we need to do something about it and if everyone works together and does a little to help the environment then we might just be able to save our planet and prevent us from destroying it further.
LED bulbs are quite regularly seen in people's homes due to their great level of energy efficiency. GU10 bulbs are gaining popularity and are highly recommended to people because of their many advantages. These bulbs can be quite costly at first that is mainly due to manufacturing expenses. However over time these bulbs prove to be very cost effective and good to the environment. The first idea of LED bulbs first came about in 1907 by using a material called Silicone carbide by a man called Henry Joseph. When the GU 10 LED bulbs were first discovered they produced quite dim light. However since then scientists have improved the idea into what it is today.
In 1950, American and British scientists concluded that Zinc Sulphide could work well in providing invisible infrared light. Following this, in 1962, the new GU10 LED bulb with a red light was invented by someone called Nick Holonyak. The scientist used a different chemical in the making of the bulb to produce the different colour. After this invention, straight away they were used as indicator lights. As time went along, most people chose GU10 bulbs and it became the most popular new bulb around at the time.
There are many advantages of these types of bulbs. People started showing an interest in them almost immediately and it created a great interest in the lighting market and nowadays is used in numerous appliances and devices. It is used in a number of types of lighting systems like barricade lights, message displays, traffic lights, hazard signs, scoreboards, digital clocks, runway lights, calculators and the list goes on. It is also planned that many car industries will eventually replace GU10 LED lights in their vehicles.
