What exactly is a watch winder?
So they are many accessories associated with Men’s watches. One of the more intriguing and often misunderstood members of this group is the watch rotator, also commonly referred to as a watch winder. A watch rotator/winder is a mechanism that is used to keep automatic/ self winding watches running when they are not being worn. These automatic watches function by essentially winding themselves with a moving weight (main spring) that is contained inside the watch. That weight then rotates the watch and turns the winding mechanism inside the watch. What this process attempts to prevent is the watch becoming stagnant when not being worn and losing battery life therefore causing consumers to invest more money on maintain their time piece.
