Recommend a well designed alarm clock?
I currently have a Lexon Cube designed by Marc Berthier.

Unfortunately it's not working out... too dim (even when I turn the backlight on), the buttons aren't as practical as I had expected them to be.
I'm looking for recommendations for an alarm clock that's well designed.
It doesn't need a radio or anything fancy. Small is preferred, very usable.
A good answer will have links to products or brands.

Hey, maybe this one is a little too practical, but I was looking for alarm clocks a year ago and, just like you, couldn't find the one that fit my needs. For one thing, our electricity goes out alot in my area because of the trees, especially when the wind blows hard due to bad storms. So I simply purchased a cheap battery alarm clock and it hasn't let me down yet; it wakes me on time, during bad storms, or heavy winds and I have no complaints. I bought the clock at a Target, who would have guessed.
