Aluminum-plastic Composite Panel for Curtain Wall
Curtain wall aluminum composite panel refers to the composite panel applied as building curtain wall. It is the composed panel with plastic material as the central layer and aluminum on two sides of it, as well as decorative and protective coatings or films as the decorative sides.
Now, there are stricter quality requirements for new materials in construction and building decoration. The aluminum manufacturers, based on those requirements, bring forward more standard quality control methods and means. The national standard, GB/T17448-2008 Aluminum-plastic Composite Panel for Curtain Wall, details on the quality control indexes and testing methods of aluminum-plastic composite panel. Labthink Instruments Co., Ltd. 1. Chromatism Testing
According to the standards, ocular estimation is the method for chromatism testing. It should be done under natural light and not in direct sunshine. However, there are no regulations on illumination, and the testing results are varied owing to different environments. 2. Thickness Test of Aluminum and Composite Adhesive Film and the Error
2.1 Aluminum Thickness Testing.
According to GB/T 17748-2008, take a piece from the aluminum as the specimen, and measure the aluminum thickness with the thickness tester of 0.001mm(1?m) resolution. Every specimen should measure 5 points at least, including four angles and the central part. The thickness result is the Min. average and arithmetic mean of all the measurement.

Now, aluminum material is quite expensive, the precise measurement of its thickness can control the quality and reduce costs reasonably. 2.2 Composite Adhesive Film (Macromolecule Film) Thickness Testing
The thickness testing of composite adhesive film complies with GB/T 6672-2001 Plastics Film and Sheeting--Determination of Thickness by Mechanical Scanning and its relevant regulations, Labthink PARAM CHY-C2 Thickness Tester and PARAM CHY-CA Thickness Tester can also suit the composite adhesive film (macromolecule/high polymer film) thickness and thickness error measurement.
3. Coating Gloss Deviation Testing
According to GB 9754, 20 degree gloss meter should be applied to test. When testing, the testing data of more positions is preferable. The difference between the maximum and the minimum values is regarded as the gloss deviation of the curtain wall aluminum-plastic composite panel. 4. The Peeling Strength Testing
The peeling strength of curtain wall aluminum-plastic composite panel is of vital importance. The competence of composite strength between the aluminum panel and the plastic layer is the guarantee for future stable and reliable performance. The testing procedure is as follows:
Peel two ends of the aluminum material to be tested, of which, cut the central plastic part and aluminum part of one peeled end. Then, clamp the remaining aluminum on the upper panel and connect with the upper clamp. Clamp the other peeled end on the roller. Keep the length axis in vertical direction with the central axis of the roller, clear zero of the tester load, and connect the lower panel with the lower clamp of the tester. Then, set the testing speed of 25mm/min for tensile until a minimum of 150mm is peeled. Record the peeling strength and curve simultaneously. Though there are detailed regulations of specimen preparation in the standard, the specimen preparation process would affect status of the two ends of the specimen. Thus, in order to obtain accurate data and reduce the influence of the preconditioned (pre-peeling) process to the testing results, the tester should have a function of end deletion. 5. Tearing Strength Test of High Polymer Film in Aluminum-plastic Composite Panel
According to GB/T17448-2008, Aluminum-plastic composite panel for curtain wall, the tearing strength test of high polymer films is also called vertical tearing strength. AS the testing method is GB/T11999, Plastics Film and Sheeting Determination of Tear Resistance?Elmendorf Method, therefore, it is better to be termed as Elmendorf Method Tearing Strength.
